OUR CABINET PROCESS

So you have decided you want to use Designer Home Interiors for your cabinets. What do the next steps look like?

Measurement

The first step with any cabinet project is a measurement/consult. We will need to have  dimensions in order to start spatially planning your layout. Usually we will send out someone to measure your space and talk to you in house to get a feel for the space. Once this measurement is complete our cabinet team will put together a rough layout and budget pricing for you to approve.

Proposal

This will come in the form of a proposal that will be sent to your email to review. If you like the proposal you will sign it electronically and this will allow us to invoice you out 50% of the project, which we ask for upfront.

Cabinet List

Once we receive a deposit your name goes on our cabinet list. This list is in order of date paid. We try to stick to this order to keep things running smoothly and provide a fair and accurate timeline to all of our customers.

Renderings

Now that you’re officially on the cabinet list we schedule a time for you to meet with a member of our cabinet team in store to go over details. These details include material, stain, layout and other design elements. After this consultation we will send out 3D renderings of your new kitchen for you to approve.

If you receive these renderings and changes are needed you will respond with these changes for our cabinet team to address. We will send out renderings until approved.

Once approved our cabinet team will place your cabinets into production.

Production time is all dependent on our current wait list as well as if your cabinets are custom or ready to assemble.

Tear Out

If your project includes other items such as new flooring and/or tear out, this will be scheduled with our staff close to completion of your cabinets. This is to ensure you are not left in a mess for too long while waiting for cabinets.

Installation

We will reach out to you several weeks in advance to schedule a cabinet installation date. Installation can take from one day to up to a week depending on your project size. We will try and keep you informed on your project timeline.

Countertop/Backsplash

When the bases of your cabinets are set we can bring in our countertop fabricator to template. After the template is complete you are looking at 1-2 weeks turnaround time for countertop installation.

All cabinets and countertop will need to be installed before backsplash can be installed. Keep this in mind for your overall timeline

Final Touches

If purchased our team will install handles very last as a final touch to your cabinet journey! At this time our team can do paint touch ups, hinge adjustments or any other punch list items needed to wrap things up.

Once the project is complete we will invoice out the remaining 50% and send you on your way with brand new cabinets.
